No, this post has nothing to do with steroids poster twins, Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, but my crack research assistant, Patrice, does have a college chum who owns this poster. The owner of the poster, Dan, leads his life according to the tenets of the Bash Brothers. Dan believes the Bash Brothers and Robert Downey, Jr. truly symbolize the excess of the eighties and Dan has chosen to lead an ascetic life motivated by the teachings of Bubbles from The Wire.

Actually, this post is about the band, Bash & Pop. Bash & Pop was led by Tommy Stinson of The Replacements fame. Their release, Friday Night Is Killing Me, is a great pop record. I still listen to this cd and I don't think I ever saw this video on 120 Minutes from MTV's Pleistocene era. I just found it as I was searching through YouTube. It's a lonely night when you're searching through YouTube.
