Brilliant observation that no one else has made yet to my knowledge - that being that Dick Cheney was shut off from all contact save for the most assuredly friendly of audiences for 8 years. The fact that he held that infamous energy summit with industry executives, that we to this day still do not know the contents of and then embark on generation-long wars over energy resources and transit of said resources would make even the most skeptical person wonder about conspiracies.
